How do you make this dish? Start by using the minimal ingredients that you can get in your kitchen or refrigerator, first is soy sauce, then sugar, sake, mirin, and garlic. Next are some other secret ingredients.

A few tips, when baking chicken, make sure the oil in your pan is hot before adding meat to get the perfect level of maturity.

Ingredients

  • (600 grams) skinless boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, optional
  • 2 tsp minced garlic (2 cloves garlic) *
  • 1 shallot / green onion stem, sliced ??to garnish
  • 4 cups broccoli florets, lightly steamed
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp cooking Sake or rice vinegar
  • 2 Mirin posts

Instructions

  1. Use a large skillet, heat cooking oil over medium heat.
  2. Stir the chicken, then occasionally stir until slightly browned and crispy.
  3. Use a small bowl, stir in soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, mirin and sesame oil, then set aside.
  4. Add the garlic to the center of the pan, stir-fry until fragrant.
  5. Pour the sauce and let it cook, while stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add steamed broccoli, garnish with sliced ??shallots, serve on the table with white rice.
